Load Management
What is it?
The Load Management Pathway (LMP) is a demand response program targeted to commercial and industrial customers served by SWEPCO with a minimum peak electric demand of 50kW or greater. Monetary incentives will be paid to customers capable of interrupting electrical load within a customer facility on a one-hour advance notice basis. Summer period – June 1 through September 30; Winter period – December 1 through March 31Interruptions will be limited to a maximum of 3 calls per month. Each interruptible call is limited to a maximum of 4 hours in duration and for no more than 3 consecutive days. Interruption calls will be made on weekdays only, excluding holidays. –
Am I eligible?
- Arkansas SWEPCO customer
- Have electric service measured by a SWEPCO interval data recorder (IDR) or AMI metering device
- Not on a tariff based SWEPCO demand response rate or rider
- Have a minimum of 50 kW peak demand
- Demonstrate the ability to interrupt electric load with a one hour notice
- Agree to interrupt at least 50 kW of electric load when called upon
- Elect which program period to participate in, summer, winter or both.
- Elect to participate in the two hour or four hour option when signing the LMP customer agreement.
