SWEPCO offers no-cost home Energy Assessments and energy efficiency improvements through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Pathway. In addition to a thorough evaluation of your home’s energy use, an approved contractor will provide the following energy-saving, comfort-enhancing upgrades at no cost to customers as needed:

To qualify for the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Pathway, your home must have a valid SWEPCO Arkansas residential account, have been occupied for the last year, and either be at least ten years old or have had an electric bill in the last year that was at least $0.10/sq. ft. In addition, your home cannot have participated in a weatherization program offered either through a utility or the government in the past five years.

1. To reserve your home’s participation and to verify its eligibility, apply online, or complete the Authorization to Release Information form and submit it via mail, fax, or email.
2. Our pathway staff can assign an approved Home Performance contractor to schedule your assessment. Due to high demand, there may be a waiting period.
3. The approved contractor will conduct the assessment, install any needed upgrades*, and submit the required paperwork to SWEPCO.
4. Your home may be randomly chosen to have the improvements verified by our pathway staff. If so, you will receive a follow-up call to schedule this inspection.
