With this program, SWEPCO customers may take advantage of no-cost home energy assessments and energy-efficiency improvements.
Benefits
In addition to a thorough evaluation of your home’s energy use, an approved contractor will provide energy-saving, comfort-enhancing upgrades at no cost to customers as needed, including:
- Attic insulation
- Duct sealing
- Air sealing
- Advanced power strips
- LED bulbs
- High-efficiency shower heads and faucet aerators
- Wall insulation
How It Works
Step 1: To reserve your home’s participation and to verify its eligibility, apply online, or complete the Authorization to Release Information form and submit it via mail, fax, or email.
Step 2: Our pathway staff can assign an approved Home Performance contractor to schedule your assessment. Due to high demand, there may be a waiting period.
Step 3: The approved contractor will conduct the assessment, install any needed upgrades, and submit the required paperwork to SWEPCO. Upgrades are provided to you at zero cost — the contractor is paid by SWEPCO directly.
Step 4: Your home may be randomly chosen to have the improvements verified by our pathway staff. If so, you will receive a follow-up call to schedule this inspection.
