Electric Cooking Recipes: Cheesy Salsa Chili (Low Carb, Low Sodium)

Fall is officially slow cooker season, and the pantry-friendly ingredients in this recipe make it a quick one to put together in the morning! Keep this dish lean by using 90/10 ground meat and low-sodium taco seasoning.

Cheesy Salsa Chili Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. ground 90/10 sirloin*
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 14.5 oz. cans no-salt diced tomatoes
  • 1 16 oz. jar salsa
  • 1 tbsp. low-sodium taco seasoning
  • 1 cup 2% shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: light sour cream, chopped tomatoes, cilantro

Directions:

  • Combine the first five ingredients in a slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Remove lid. Stir in cheese until melted.
  • Serve with optional toppings.
