This program provides incentives to help Arkansas facilities to reduce peak electric demand and annual energy consumption, resulting in improved building performance and comfort.
How It Works
Incentives are based on the verified electric energy savings, and available for both existing buildings with a peak demand greater than 100 kW and new construction projects. Here’s how to get started:
- Submit your project details to an Energy Advisor through SWEPCO’s Commercial Project Portal, or contact an Energy Advisor to schedule an assessment and identify energy-efficiency opportunities and incentives.
- Complete an incentive application with a description of your proposed project.
- Once your project is complete, notify our Energy Advisor of the completion date and schedule a post-installation inspection.
- Your final incentive amount is based on verified kWh savings achieved by the project. We’ll mail your incentive check within 4-6 weeks of project verification.

Incentives are available for lighting, HVAC, and air compressor system upgrades, plus custom or process-related improvements and more.

Commercial, Industrial, Government and Schools
During your free assessment, our Energy Advisor will identify energy-efficiency opportunities, determine what incentives are available to you, and arrange to install high-efficiency no-cost products like faucet aerators and pre-rinse spray valves as needed.
Load Management
SWEPCO’s Load Management Standard Offer Pathway pays incentives to large commercial customers for load interruptions during peak demand periods. Incentives are based on verified peak demand (kW) savings that occur at the customer’s site during an interruption.

Midstream Incentives
SWEPCO’s Midstream Incentives make it easier than ever to realize energy savings from new LED lighting, heat pumps, air conditioners and variable frequency drive retrofits on motors. Because we provide incentives directly to distributors, those savings get passed on to you at the register—no application necessary.
