Arkansas Small Business Pathway

This program offers tailor-made solutions for small businesses with a peak demand less than or equal to 100 kW by connecting them with participating contractors that are qualified to provide design and installation services for energy efficient technologies.

How It Works

Beginning with a free assessment, a participating contractor can install no-cost equipment, make recommendations for additional energy-saving upgrades and help you secure SWEPCO incentives that cover up to 90% of the project costs. Here’s how to get started:

  • Contact an Energy Advisor to recommend qualified contractors and identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • Schedule a walk-through assessment with a participating contractor.
  • Your contractor installs the energy-saving measures, and deducts the SWEPCO incentive amount from your invoice.
  • Your contractor receives an incentive payment from SWEPCO.

Benefits

  • Free, no-obligation facility assessment by a participating contractor to identify potential energy-saving opportunities
  • Recommendations and estimates of energy savings, project costs and payback periods
  • Installation of no-cost energy-saving equipment, including low-flow faucet aerators, weather stripping and door sweeps
  • Incentives of up to $0.16 per kWh saved (up to 90% of the project cost), which your contractor will provide as a discount
